Un dernier mot enfin : de retour de quelques jours passés à Lyon où je n'ai fait que lire sans me préoccuper le moins du monde des médias, j'ai appris, consterné et triste, le décès de Philippe Muray, auteur, sur le sulfureux écrivain qui nous intéresse, d'un essai qui fit lui-même grincer nombre de canines de chiots. Sans connaître les romans de Céline comme je connais les livres de Bloy ou de Bernanos par exemple, je dois dire que cet essai de Muray (ainsi que son ouvrage sans doute le plus justement connu, Le XIXe siècle au travers des âges) m'a laissé, par son écriture et son intelligence littéraire, un excellent souvenir tout comme un ouvrage bien moins connu, signé de Jean-Marie Turpin et intitulé Le chevalier Céline ou la dernière marche de l'Atlantide. Je prends donc la liberté, en mon nom et sans avoir consulté Marc Laudelout, de dédier ces quelques lignes à Philippe Muray.
