Thinking about the perfect formal hairstyles? Consider going half up half down formal hairstyles to add elegance but still feel fun.

Half up half down hairstyles a good dressy hairstyle and can be dressed up with curly or ribbons. Big girls can use the half ponytail, too as a base for fashionable formal prom and wedding hairstyles as well as casual styling. The half up half down formal hairstyles is a flexible hairstyle for young girls who have long hair that needs to be held back, but get finicky about having all of their hair tied back.

I envy girls with small feet.

I envy girls with small feet.

tryingonshoesLike all girls with an unbearable love for shoes, my heart melts every time I walk into a store filled with shoes waiting to be worn. Although I’m a pretty picky shopper, I enjoy every minute of walking through the aisles trying to find the perfect pair.

While I was shopping in Japan one day, I found myself on a floor with shelves of shoes on every end. Although I wasn’t intending on buying anything, I whispered to my brother who came along, “I’m going to see if there’s anything I like.” and went off in high spirits. I was determined to find me a pair that was just what I’ve been wanting all along.

30 minutes later, I went back to my brother and told him that we could go since I couldn’t find anything. He exclaimed, “You couldn’t find anything in a department store like this?!” Sighing I replied, “Well, I found one, but they didn’t have it in my size.” He chuckled and shook his head as he followed me out of the store.

Sizes always become a problem when it comes to shoe shopping. It’s either way too big or too small and occasionally, occasionally they fit perfectly. My feet aren’t difficult to accommodate because I have enormously huge feet, but because mine are just naturally wider around my toes. So it’s always heartbreaking when I see a pair of the cutest flats and find out that I can’t fit in them.

This is why I envy girls with small feet because it seems like they always have shoes in stock and sometimes they can even grab a few bargains since inventories are filled with small sizes. My friend also pointed out that smaller shoes just look better in general – “Big shoe sizes always end up looking hideos,” she claimed. “Seriously, who would want to wear this?! And then when you go to the smaller sizes everything’s so cute.”

Medium Scene Hairstyles with Bangs for Girls

Scene girls sporting scene hair with side bangs look more beautiful and hip as compared to emo girls, maybe, the scene girls know how to make their bangs and fringes more stylish and more colorful. Scene girls often try out different variations of bangs including short bangs with blunted ends and bobs with bangs, which makes it possible for them to look awesome and gorgeous. Scene hair with side bangs is more popular among scene girls and therefore, scene kids and scene boys with side bangs are less common on the streets.

New Emo Hairstyles and advace Trend

New Emo Hairstyles and advace Trend
New Emo Hairstyles and advace Trend
New Emo Hairstyles and advace Trend
New Emo Hairstyles and advace Trend
This has been and still is one of the most popular emo hairstyles for girls and boys in particular - I see many people with this kind of hairstyle at my bus stop and to be honest I like it! The looks are similar to the long bangs to the comb-over approach. However, on this style of emo hairstyles, the back of the hair exposes a long tail and is dragged to one side of the head in most cases. For example, if the bangs are naturally or combed to the right side, then the tail would be cut and left on the left side of the head/ face.

The comb over is also called 'scene hair' and a large range of popular bands use this type of emo hairstyle, such as Green Day and My Chemical Romance. The popularity has increased over the years and you men have been influenced by these bands to copy their style of haircut.

The emo hairstyles for girls may consist of a straight fringe above the eyes and reasonably long hair extenstions dyed usually black but other lighter colours such as white blonde are also accepted.
emo hairstyles for girls image

block fringe covering the eyes/just above the eyes OR tied to one side
if you decide to tie your hair to the side, pretty, colourful clips and hair grips must be used
By using lots of spray, spike/ lift your hair up in the back
Polka/camo headband with dots can be worn at all times when the fring is down
Add a couple colourful ribbons in your hair
For an added attraction, use black, blonde or coloured extensions depending on the dyed hair colour

The guy emo hairstyles consists of the same straight fringe slightly above the eyes (and in some cases covering them) and cut straight with layers just below the jaw line.

Hairspray should always be used to give volume and spike up the hair at the back
Straight block fringe either long or short to cover the eyes (as in the pic above)
Layered at the back and on the side of the face
Fringe always highlighted! - at the side fringe streaks of the opposite colour to the dyed hair
Bandana! (black/white/red coloured) worn - this is one of the most important characteristics

And that is how the short mullet (scene hair) emo hairstyles for girls and boys can be easily achieved. Be creative!

Teen fashion trends

There are many articles dedicated to fashion trends: trends for men or women, trends for kids and even for dogs. What about teens? Try to do a web search and you will see that finding nice guidelines about teen fashion trends is not as easy as it may seem. Why is it this way? The reason for this lack of information is teen fashion being more complicated than any other. Teenagers are fighting against society; they put a lot of effort to be different, but they also invent new trends and fashion styles.

The latest trend is EMO (emotional) style. EMO style is definitely for those who adore bright colors. Green, pink, red, yellow matched with black will undoubtedly make you noticeable. If you are into this style, you must have an appropriate hairdo: Zelda hairdo for girls and jet black mop top for boys. Pencil or at least cigarette-shaped jeans with studded belt is also a must-have. Rules for top are not that strict, you may choose anything you want, just be sure it's close-fitting and bright colored. You must wear large amounts jewelry and it's even better if you pierce your face (small lip ring would do perfectly). EMO style is perfect for those who wear glasses - it's a great accent and EMOs love nerdy ones.

Hip hop never goes out of fashion. Music that speaks street language is definitely for young rebellious souls. Hip-hop style for teen boys and girls is rather different. Boys are usually wearing baggy pants and t-shirt, while girls chose sexy outfits. Cap is a must for both. When it comes to colors - choose anything you want. Boys usually prefer blue jeans and white-colored top while girls are totally unpredictable. Girls wear big rounded earrings and boys must wear at least one ring.

What fashion designers have come up to this season is gothic youth. Although this fashion has existed for a number of years and has been discussed in various ways, it is the first time it is fashionable. Dressing all-black, coloring your hair black, using only black makeup means or even whitening your face to make everything else look even blacker is a hot trend. Choose big shoes with chunky heels; go for metal details all over your clothing and accessories and you're a perfect goth. No matter if you are wearing a short or a long skirt, a close fitting top or a loose one - it's ok as long as it's black.

Bohemian style is also fashionable among teenagers. Loose light colored clothes, wraps and wooden, stone or amber accessories will make you look like a real bohemian girl or boy. Peop...

A girl’s most important day of her life…

A girl’s most important day of her life…

promIs often said to be her senior prom. But who knows, everyone has their own special night – it could be their sweet sixteen, their first anniversary with their significant other, or for some the day they get their acceptance letter from Harvard University. It all varies from one girl to another, but it’s that time of year when girl’s all over the nation are receiving letters from boutiques and prom magazines begging them to look at all the different dresses they have to offer.

I personally have never been to prom, *thankfully* (all the drama is just too much), but I have seen my some photos from my friends junior prom. They all look beautiful with their hair done by professionals and their makeup so perfect. But when it comes to the dresses, sometimes I wonder, “What was she thinking?!” They’re dressed in bright neon green and pink gowns, silky dresses that shine like a sun’s ray in the light, and the diamonds embedded into the dress line which makes it seem more tacky than ever.

Okay, so most of us don’t live the life of Blair Waldorf or A-class celebrities, so dressing up for an event, riding in the limousine, and eating at the most luxurious restaurant is extremely exciting. Most girls don’t have many opportunities to dress up formally and feel like the princess that they have always been dreaming of being. That being said, I know it can become overwhelming when choosing a dress so important, and sometimes I think girls go overboard. So here are my suggestions to picking the right gown for you which will make you look like a part of a red-carpet event, instead of circus:

- Stay with traditional elegant colors: black, white, navy, light pastel colors. I would personally stay away from bright colors like green – they end up looking more tacky than elegant.

- Prints are fun to play with, however, a simple design also looks gorgeous, just make sure it has a little bit of texture like ruffles.

- Have a favorite red-carpet star? Take notice of what type of gowns and dresses she wears to achieve that look!

- Don’t overdo your hair. Tons of braids will make the overall look really overdone. I suggest a nice wave of curls or a bun styled up for a special occasion.

- Shoes are important too! We all know that they’re not going to be incredibly comfortable, but I recommend getting a pair that will let you glide across the floor instead of tripping all over your dress. Sometimes that means a higher heel would work better, but it’s really up to you.

The most important thing is that you enjoy the night. Have fun preparing for the big night, but don’t let it get to you! And don’t kill yourself if another girl is wearing the SAME exact dress. Instead put a little humor into the whole situation and compliment her on how beautiful her dress is. :)

Emo Girls

Emo Girls- Not Eccentric these are Cool Chicks The words Emo was and is still today have been associated with a style of rock music that exhibits a multidimensional style of music with common stylistic roots. However the term soon became a subject of controversy as in the 1980s, the term being described as a sub-genre hardcore punk that owes its origin at Washington D.C. The term Emo soon began to mean different to different people rather than a specific genre of music. With time the word Emo is getting associated with a particular trend of fashion and style. The Emo girls reflect its present meaning of trend-setting fashion. The Emo girls are dressed with tight jeans, short sleeves T-shirts with the long fringe either brushed to one side of the face or over one or both eyes. The hair color of an Emo girl is dyed black. The hair of the Emo girls is generally longer than that of the Emo boys, but never beyond the shoulder length. The T-shirts of the Emo girls reflect the name of the particular rock band they are interested in. They wear some junk accessories. Often studded belts adorn their waistline. The shoes of the Emo girls might be canvas sneakers or skate shoes or even old, worn out black shoes. They simply want to give a rusty, non-conformity look. The Emo girls dress in such a way that they want to represent their growing up in their own styles. They tend to imitate the rock bands, as they love to be associated with music. They follow their heart and are extremely spontaneous by nature. Emo girls are overly sensitive and intend to break all social norms and set practices. They do not respond to any works that are imposed upon by force. They generally listen to the call of their inner self and love to lead a life of independence and enjoy freedom in their unique style. In recent days the Emo girls are often referred to some who are sad or who suffer from depression. Even sensitive, shy, introvert or extreme Emotional girls are often called as Emo girls too.

Different Makes Me Beautiful

Different Makes Me Beautiful

Being an Asian girl, growing up with mostly Caucasian kids had its good times and bad. I still remember being called ‘flat face’ or ‘Chinese eyes’ and it really hurt when I was little. Now I can just laugh about it all, but inside I can still feel that pain that I had before. But does that drive me to go to far lengths to feel fit in? Of course not; I have matured and I actually love my differences and the way I look. But I can understand why many Asians and other women of ethnic groups choose to alter their looks and go under surgery so they can feel better about themselves.

Many Asian women undergo double eyelid surgery to change the look of their eyes.

Many Asian women undergo double eyelid surgery to change the look of their eyes.

For instance, double eyelid surgery is a common surgery that many Asian women go through. Most Asians are born with a very small crease in their eyelid or nothing at all. Nowadays, many Asian women are led to think that the Caucasian look, including the eyes, are much more attractive which cause many to undergo changes. It’s quite common in Japan for women to use special glue to lift their eyelids up to make them look more Western. Even magazines recommend girls to consider surgery to look better.

Asians and other races have different attributes, but I still consider them beautiful the way they are.

I understand where a lot of these girls are coming from when they say they want to look better, but I feel that there’s really no need to change their physical appearance. These girls seem to be very weak towards criticism and the media, making them feel like they are not as pretty as another girl. The media does tend to pressure women into thinking that beauty is one or the other, but I think we should all understand that there’s really no specific standard to being beautiful. I think it’s time for women to become stronger and say to themselves, “I am beautiful, even if I don’t look like the woman next to me.”

Just to keep things straight, I want to say that I have no problem with surgery, I have nothing against people that do it, and I’m not saying that you shouldn’t do it either. However, I think that all women of different races should be proud of their differences and embrace their beauty. Let’s face it, every one’s different – even celebrities look different, meaning everyone has a different part of them that makes them attractive. Besides, surgery often means lots of pain and money, and some cases don’t even work out like you expected. I think women with different facial looks are absolutely gorgeous and they have a special beauty that no other can have. Why not treasure it?
